Born in the United States in 1986, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University's Steinhardt School in 2008.
Aakash Nihalani's sculptures, paintings and street art playfully transform environments, creating the illusion of 3D geometric platforms and objects.Nihalani works with fluorescent color palettes, uses paper tape and cardboard to create temporary designs in public spaces and interiors, and draws patterned grids and geometric shapes. Speaking of his linear vocabulary, the New York-based artist says, "I'm from the suburbs, and when I moved here I was fascinated by the city's urban architecture: big boxes, filled with little boxes, endless networks of cubes.
