Post-80s artist Du Xi grew up in an era where everyone loved poetry, music and art with a bright imagination and vision for the future. Because of this, his art creation is always full of dreams and romance. He studied in the U.S.A. from his hometown of Yunnan. After experiencing the collision of Eastern and Western cultures, he began to search for his cultural roots, digging out the spirit of Oriental traditions and cultures from Chinese historical allusions, myths and legends, and storytelling. Du Xi expresses a series of aesthetic, philosophical and Zen ideas of love, hate, strategy, morality and righteousness in the context of oriental culture through interesting, bright, highly animated and cartoonish shapes and colors, and creates his unique, romantic and fantastical personal spiritual world.
