Erkut Terliksiz's creations are a blend of psychology and anatomy. He captures the reality of the human condition with playful brushstrokes, and his characters and fantastical universes bring a positive energy to the presentation of more negative issues such as vulnerability, the passage of time and death.
Born in 1978 in Adana, Turkey, Terliksiz graduated from the Graphic Design Department of Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in 2002. After graduation, he began to exhibit around the world, including THE PAINTERS ALIVE, a two-person exhibition at Rademakers Gallery in Amsterdam in 2018; DingDongDaddy, a solo exhibition at PlanX Gallery in Milan in 2021; a two-person exhibition at Galerie C.O.A. in Montreal in 2022; and a two-person exhibition at Galerie C.O.A. in Abidjan in 2022. Galerie C.O.A in Montreal in 2022; a two-person exhibition at Galerie C.O.A in Montreal in 2022; and a Languishing exhibition at Galerie DIDA in Abidjan in 2022, among others. In the same year, his work was also featured in the Needles in the hay group show at The Curators Room gallery in Amsterdam.
Terliksiz's work has also been featured in publications including Juxtapoz Art Magazine in the United States, and Boooooooom Art Blog in Canada.
