Born in Chengdu in 1948, he is a representative of Chinese contemporary lyrical realist oil painters.
His works are collected by the National Art Museum of China, Fukuoka Art Museum, Long Museum and other art organizations and collectors at home and abroad.
He Duoling has an irreplaceable position in the history of Chinese contemporary art, he is one of the important artists of "Scar Art", in the early 1980s, he caused a sensation with his oil paintings "Spring Breeze Has Awakened" and "Youth", and his serial painting "Snow Geese", etc., and he has become the spokesman of shaping the image of a nation and a collective. In 1992, his work "This Evening" subverted the focus of perspective that he had always adhered to, and for the first time, he used the treatment of double space, and the style of his work was more close to the style of classical Chinese paintings.
Since the release of his oil painting Spring Breeze Has Awakened in 1982, he has continuously produced new works, and his style of painting has been quietly changing, with the form and language gradually being perfected, but his outlook as a painter is distinctive, and the image he gives to people is holistic. He is regarded as a realist painter with outstanding talent, and he has influenced generations of young people in a subtle way.
