Born in 1987 in Hengyang, Hunan Province, he was admitted to the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in 2007, where he studied with Wang Shaojun, Zhang Yutong, and Cao Hui, and in 2009 he entered the First Studio of the Sculpture Department under the tutelage of Sun Jiabao, Wang Wei, and Mou Baiyan, and graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in 2012, where he currently lives and works.
Based on his systematic training in sculpture, Su Lingzhi has continued to create sculpture in recent years. At a time when digital and technological interventions in the arts are constantly taking place, Su Lingzhi's continuous exploration of the language of sculpture itself is particularly important. Most of Su Lingzhi's works start from daily life, creating works that are related to and in contact with the current society. His works carry the warm temperature of humanity and emotions, digging into the inner nature of life and the essence of society.
