Ernest Goh is a visual artist dedicated to ecological relationships. As a young boy at his grandmother's house in the countryside in Singapore, he was fascinated by nature and used to go down to the river to touch the fish and jump into the bushes to look for spiders.
Formerly a photojournalist for The Straits Times, Ernest now works as a freelance photographer for newspapers and international publications such as The Smithsonian and Monocle.His documentary photography was published in 2014's Beyond Masks and 2009's multimedia Altered Land. Beyond Masks" in 2014 and the multimedia work "Altered Land" in 2009, in which he published his documentary photography. Beyond Masks is a book that chronicles the experiences of healthcare workers in Singapore's largest hospital during the SARS outbreak, while Altered Land presents his documentary work from four years in Aceh, Indonesia, following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
Ernest's work was commissioned by the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum in Singapore and is housed in the museum's collection, the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow.
