Kitti Narrod

Born in Thailand in 1976 Graduated from Pohchang School of Art, Royal Institute of Technology, Thailand Currently lives and works in Pathumthani Solo exhibitions in London, Montreal, Singapore, Bangkok, Taipei, group exhibitions in Bangkok, Melbourne, Dublin, Edinburgh. His works have been exhibited at the Edinburgh Festival (2007), Manchester Festival (2005), Bangkok Art and Culture Center (2019), and have been collected by many public institutions and individuals. Narod's works are characterized by a distinctive style and a tropical island atmosphere, which stems from his childhood environment and his love for South American art. His works are rich in color, and the pigments look as if they have been squeezed directly from the hose onto the canvas without mixing, but each work is harmonious and unified, revealing the artist's profound ability to control the colors. He does not emphasize too many details and perspectives, and ignores the true proportions of the characters' limbs, showing the profound influence of Matisse, the originator of Fauvism, on his creative style. Almost every character in his works has his eyes closed, in a relaxed state of "enjoying the moment", indicating that the artist does not care about the depiction of the objects themselves, but focuses on creating an atmosphere, emphasizing the pleasant atmosphere in his works.
